San Luis Institute facilitates world-renown educational opportunities for students studying alternative and American agriculture. We were established in 1996 as a California non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation.

Our mission is to provide advanced vocational agricultural education to a variety of stakeholders from around the world. We have agricultural research and education projects across the United States and operate from both East and West coasts.

Our faculty and staff are comprised of scientists, technicians, and consultants who specialize in high-value crops. We provide students a hands-on experience with these specific crops through residency and field work at our crop stations, extensive travel within the regional agricultural areas, and intensive interactions with local farmers, governmental agricultural scientists, and other industry professionals.

The learning experience at San Luis Institute is designed to enhance technical skills, as well as create contacts and social skills that students will utilize throughout their careers.
